Jungle cooking class while trekking in Phnom Kulen National Park
The real Cambodian adventure begins with Eco-trails!
Day 1
Svakum Pee Kampuchjea! Welcome to Cambodia.
After breakfast your guide will take you in a A/C vehicle to Kulen National Park. On the way we will stop at the Butterfly Garden, a lovely place with dozens of different species of butterflies. It is in fact a butterfly sanctuary where the complete lifecycle of a butterfly can be observed and will be explained by the guide. The species you see depend on the time of year. After arrival we will start trekking up the hill to visit Thousand Lingas, and the Reclining Buddha. You can have a refreshing swim in the sacred river above the waterfall or you can walk down to it. After the swimming we shall start cooking our three course jungle lunch. A vegetarian option is also available, please let us know when booking the trip as well as any food allergies you may have. We will need to pick the woods, make the fire and cook the well - deserved meal. After lunch we will explore around the village where the car will pick you up for the return journey.
